Best Screenplay:

Alexander Payne and Jim Taylor – Election

 

Best Animated Film:

The Iron Giant

 

Best Cinematography:

Robert Richardson – Snow Falling on Cedars and Bringing Out the Dead

 

Best Foreign Language Film:

Run Lola Run (Lola rennt) – Germany

 

Best Documentary:

Buena Vista Social Club

 

Pauline Kael Breakout Award:

Spike Jonze (director, actor) – Being John Malkovich and Three Kings

 

Golden Orange for Outstanding Contribution to Film:

Dan Myrick and Eduardo Sanchez (directors-writers), Gregg Hale and Robin Cowie (producers) and Michael Monello (co-producer), The Blair Witch Project, for furthering the causes of Florida filmmakers and independent filmmaking.
