Driven by a need to find what makes art aesthetically pleasing, Hans Morgenstern pursued a Master’s degree in literature at Florida International University only to learn beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With a focus on cinema, Hans wrote a thesis analyzing Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey against the Hollywood form. He’s taught film courses at Barry University and FIU and worked in the programming departments of the Miami International Film Festival and Miami Jewish Film Festival. Hans joined the Florida Film Critics Circle in 2011. His film criticism is mostly featured on Independent Ethos. He also contributes reviews and articles to Miami New Times, Hollywood.com and the Miami Herald.
